Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes what Gaston County Busted Mugshots may receive when a visitor uses its pages, search tools, or contact channels. Using the site means accepting the practices described here. Government rosters, courts, and outside search providers have their own policies once a visitor leaves these pages.

Information Sent Directly

Search terms

A name, place, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Gaston County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own end through the page.

Messages

An email or contact message may be kept so a reply can be sent and the conversation can be handled. It is not shared outside the operating organization unless a legal duty requires disclosure.

Technical Data and Cookies

When a page loads, routine technical information may be collected by hosting, analytics, advertising, or security services. This can include:

  • IP address and approximate network information;
  • browser type and version;
  • device type and operating system;
  • pages visited and time spent;
  • referring page, when supplied; and
  • timestamps and diagnostic events.

Cookies

Cookies and similar tools help understand page use, maintain performance, and support partner features. Browser settings can block them. Some page functions may work differently when cookies are disabled.

How Data Is Used

Information may be used to keep pages available, route a search request to the correct partner, understand which content is useful, find technical faults, protect the service, and show advertising that may match broad interests. The goal is service operation and measurement, not a government custody decision.

Outside Links

Pages link to the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office, jail inquiry, city police, courts, North Carolina corrections, federal locators, local news, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, that organization’s privacy policy controls its handling of data.

Some advertising partners may measure activity across sites to select ads. That tracking occurs on their systems under their terms, not through control of the government records linked here.

Who May Receive Data

Personal data is not sold by the operating organization. It may be available to service providers that need it to operate the pages:

  • search partners handling a submitted query;
  • analytics providers measuring visits;
  • advertising networks supporting displayed ads; and
  • law enforcement or a government body when a valid legal order requires disclosure.

Security Limits

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information handled by the service. No internet-connected system is fully secure, so absolute protection or a breach-free promise cannot be made.

Visitors Under 18

The pages are intended for adults and are not knowingly directed to anyone under 18. If a minor submitted personal information, a parent or guardian may contact the operator to request deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law, a visitor may ask what personal data is held, request correction, ask for deletion, or opt out of certain processing. A request should identify the information and a way to respond. Some records held by a government office are controlled by that office, not by this private resource.

Notice Changes

This Privacy Notice may be revised as services, laws, or page features change. A new effective date and the revised text will be posted here when an update is made.
